Arrival
Meet and greet your tandem instructor at our meeting point. There’s nothing like that first impression.
A ride to take-off
We take a short drive up a mountain in our super-jeep or mountain bus to the days take-off
Weather & safety
The TFI’s will perform a quick weather evaluation, and now you have the opportunity to learn something new. Get ready quickly and receive final instructions before takeoff. Take a brief period to become acquainted with your surroundings and learn the basics of paragliding from your TFI’s. You will be provided with a paragliding harness, safety equipment, and a helmet.
The Flight
Get ready to experience the thrill of tandem paragliding and soar through the sky for a condensed flight session. You’ll be able to enjoy breathtaking views of the landscape below as you glide effortlessly with your experienced pilot. Don’t forget to capture snapshots of your adventure to remember this exhilarating experience forever.
The aftermath
After a magical flight, we safely landed at the designated landing zone and took a ride back to the base in our car. You can express your thoughts and feelings with your instructor and give high fives or hugs to everyone, depending on how you feel.

We drove six hours for my first paragliding experience, and it was worth every minute! The adventure started with a short ride to a high launch point, where the top-notch instructors got everything ready in no time. Then we were off! The whole experience has me seriously considering taking a paragliding course. Afterwards, we even tried the company’s zipline, which was another incredible adventure!

I’ve always wanted to go paragliding and, with True Adventure, I was finally able to check it off my bucket list. I booked with True Adventure for my three teenaged daughters and myself and the experience was amazing! From the drive up and over the hill, to the instruction and take off, to soaring with the wind along the beautiful cliffs, to landing on one of the most scenic beaches in the world, these guys are first class all the way! They are friendly, professional, safe, and all four of us had a total blast with them! I can’t recommend True Adventure enough! They will give you a world-class experience that you will remember and talk about for the rest of your life!

Sami, our guide, was truly incredible. He went above and beyond to make sure we could see them, driving us to various viewpoints and even suggesting a short trek to improve our chances. Thanks to his patience and professionalism, we managed to get some amazing pictures (see below!).
In the afternoon, we also did the zip lines with Marcel and Alex, what an incredible time! They were both so professional, entertaining, and kind. We couldn’t have asked for better guides.

They ran a little late, but that can be expected when dealing with nature. Didn’t feel rushed to get back on track with schedule. Super experienced guides that you trust and can feel safe with.
This was 100% the top highlight of my trip – the views were incredible, the guides were fantastic, and the experience was unforgettable. I booked this adventure on a whim/I’ve never been paragliding before and it was the best decision I made. I highly recommend you try out paragliding with True Adventure.

Tandem paragliding with True Adventure in Vik was easily my favorite experience in Iceland. The pilot was very knowledgeable and made the entire ride feel safe, smooth, and so much fun. The views were absolutely breathtaking and gave me a perspective of Iceland I could not get any other way. This was the best activity I booked on this trip. I highly recommend it. Five out of five!

The guys were great and tended to my stomach not liking the quick decent! The flight was over quickly, too quickly!
We got to do both the paragliding and zip line and they were both amazing! The guides were also great. This was our first time paragliding and we both felt safe. Doing it over the black sand beach had spectacular views.
The true adventure crew really lived up to their name! The paragliding experience was amazing! The crew themselves were so kind, knowledgeable, fun and definitely added to the experience being awesome.

Went with my Fiancé this morning. Met promptly at our meeting time and were taken directly to the mountain. The setup was quick and both guides were immensely informative, entertaining, and comforting. What an amazing experience that I would recommend for anybody!
Went on a paragliding flight today after seeing others near the beach enjoying it. And it was amazing! Views were spectacular and just an all round fun experience. It’s a small business, run by two really nice guys so well worth supporting. Would absolutely do it again!
What an experience! We came thinking it would just be something we would try once and not really do again. Wrong! We can’t wait to come to Iceland in September and hopefully do this again. We felt extremely safe, the adventure was tailored to what we wanted. We are more adventurous so we got to experience a bit more turns and speed-it was amazing! You have to experience this in Iceland.
My fiancé’s greatest fear was dying 4 days before we got married in Iceland, upon meeting our pilots that fear disappeared. Our pilots were friendly, informational, and very comical (I don’t think I ever stopped smiling or laughing).
We arrived 30 minutes early to our meeting point and thought we were going to be waiting for awhile, but our pilots were not far behind and were also early! After getting to our flight destination, the wind was not quite what we wanted so we waited for about 15 minutes for the wind to change. After taking flight, the wind was perfect and we were able to fly around, do a couple “roller coasters”, have some laughs, and get our photo shoot on! The pilots made sure that we received great photos and videos of our flight and the beautiful views around us. 10/10 would recommend and would do 1000 more times!

Nice tour on shark fishing with a little surprise at the end…but a little expensive for what it is…
I went paragliding with my 8 year old a few days ago. Unforgettable!!! The pilots arrived to the shop early and we set out on our way. Sammi, Tim, and Þráinn were phenomenal.
They were a fantastic crew who made us feel at ease. Everything was explained to us and they made my daughter feel so comfortable. The entire experience from beginning to end was flawless and SO much fun. The scenery was out of this world. We flew over the black sand beach, you could see sheep grazing on the cliff side, birds nesting in the cliffs, Dyrhólaey, the glacier on top of Katla, etc.
I highly recommend paragliding with them. Top notch crew, so easy to communicate with leading up to our flight and during, and the best way to take in all the scenery. I will be telling everyone about this place. It was the highlight of our trip.

They even showed us the ropes at controlling the parachute safely. My guide performed a few “roller coasters” during my flight and they were an absolute highlight.

My brother and I did the Zipline adventure. The staff is very professional, fun and friendly. For those who are nervous or have some anxiety when they actually hook up to the platform, the staff is very encouraging and will tandem to make the customer more comfortable and have a good experience. The views are incredible!
